Most of us have a zillion tasks to do each day, which leaves us with less time to keep up with the house. This may sound familiar to you, but the good news is that there are cleaning tips that can help you keep your home tidier, even when you don’t have a ton of time to clean it. These are several quick and easy cleaning tips for you to try in every room of your home. Check out these easy cleaning tips to refresh your home!

1. Countertop Gap Filler

It doesn’t take much time at all before hundreds of tiny little crumbs and pieces of paper find their way in between your countertop spaces and appliances like your refrigerator and stove. But you can keep this from happening once and for all by placing a clear countertop tubing in between these areas so you won’t have to pull your appliances out to clean ever again.

2. Dusting Difficult to Reach Ceiling Fans

Dusting ceiling fans is never a simple task, especially for those of you with cathedral-style ceilings. But don’t keep turning a blind eye to the dust that’s collected over the past couple of months Instead, use a dryer sheet that’s attached to a long extended roller paint brush. You’ll also never again have to worry about falling off of a chair or ladder while completing this task!

3. Stop Spreading Dust

Let’s be brutally honest for a minute about the cleaning tools you may have been using for many years. Feather dusters and dry rags don’t work! They do a better job of spreading dust around your home rather than actually removing it. Microfiber cloths and ordinary clothes sprayed with any type of all-purpose cleaner will help properly remove the dust that’s been lingering in your home.

4. Cleaning the Microwave

If your microwave needs cleaning but you don’t have any cleaning solution on hand, no problem! You can easily clean it with just water and vinegar. Simply mix equal parts of water and vinegar in a microwave-safe bowl and heat it up for about two minutes. Then, use a clean cloth to wipe away any dirt or grime that’s been loosened up.

5. Removing Food Stains in Your Oven

Have you ever made the mistake of using your oven several times, even after there was noticeable food residue on the glass? We’ve all been guilty of it at one point or another, but unfortunately, it can sometimes be pretty difficult to clean depending on how long the splattered food has been there.

But you can make this cleaning job a whole lot easier by simply spraying the inside of your oven with white vinegar before you go to bed. Then, in the morning, use a cleaning sponge to wipe it all away without any hassle.

6. Eliminating Pet Hair

If you have pets, then you know that their hair can quickly become a nuisance around your home. But there’s no need to spend hours constantly cleaning up after them with a vacuum. Instead, try using a damp rubber glove to quickly remove any pet hair that’s been left behind on your furniture or floors. You’ll be absolutely amazed at how effectively it works!

7. Shower Curtain Cleaner

If your shower curtain is starting to look a little worse from wear, don’t toss it out just yet. You can easily make it look new again by cleaning it with a mixture of one part vinegar and one part water. Simply put your shower curtain in the washing machine on a gentle cycle and then hang it back up to dry. That should restore enough life back into them to hold you over.

8. Polishing Sink and Shower Fixtures

As time goes by, your sink and shower fixtures may be looking a little dull these days. The good news is that you can easily polish them back to their original shine with just a little WD-40. Just spray it on and then use a clean cloth to buff it off. You’ll be amazed at how much brighter they look after just a few minutes of work!

9. Remove Tough Stains Easily

Maybe you’re struggling to remove stain build-up in your bathtub or the inside of your toilet. No problem! You can easily remove these tough stains by using a pumice stone. Just soak the area in question with hot water for a few minutes to soften the stain and then rub the pumice stone back and forth until the stain is gone.

10. Cleaning Tile Grout

You no longer have to be embarrassed about grimy tile grout the next time you have guests over. Just spray it down with a spray bottle filled with equal parts of water and bleach and allow it to soak for a while. Then scrub the grout with a cleaning brush until it’s nice and shiny and then rinse it away with water.

11. Cleaning Your Dishwasher

You may not realize it, but your dishwasher probably needs cleaning on a fairly regular basis. Otherwise, it can start to leave your dishes looking dirty. To clean it, simply run it empty on the hottest cycle and then pour in a cup of vinegar when it’s about halfway done. Let it finish the cycle and then run it once more with just hot water to rinse away any residue.

12. Eliminate Bad Odors

If you’re struggling with bad odors in your home, there’s an easy fix for that too! All you need is a box of baking soda. You can place it in smelly areas like your garbage can, closest space, or even in your fridge to help absorb any bad odors that may be lingering.

While cleaning your home may never be considered fun, these tips will help make the process a whole lot quicker and easier.
